(2013: 1, 5) revela la existencia de un gran y positivo efecto estadísticamente significativo, entre civilización y la densidad de comunicación individual --email- entre países. Sus resultados proporcionan evidencia, hacia la división del mundo en bloques civilizacionales siguiendo la teoría de Huntington, incluso al mismo nivel que dicha teoría. La división son africana, budista, hindú, islámica, latinoamericana, ortodoxa, sínica y occidental.
A civilization is the highest cultural grouping of people and the broadest level of cultural identity people have short of that which distinguishes humans from other species. It is defined both by common objective elements, such as language, history, religion, customs, institutions, and by the subjective self-identification of people. These include Western, Confucian, Japanese, Islamic, Hindu, Slavic-Orthodox, Latin American and possibly African civilization. These differences are the product of centuries. They will not soon disappear. Huntington (1993: 24-25).
